Commercial Growers

Cherry Growers of Franklin County

If your commercial orchard is 10 to 12 years or older, we will be scouting for Cherry Leaf Roll Virus (CLRV). Every year we survey up to 1500 acres of cherry orchards in Franklin County with successful efforts in discovering and eliminating many trees with CLRV. We provide this "second set of eyes" service to you at no additional cost. If we have not scouted your orchard in the last two years and your orchard is over 10 years old or you suspect your trees may have CLRV, please contact us at 509-545-3580 to arrange a time for an inspection.

Does Your Orchard Have Little Cherry Virus or Western X?

Little Cherry and Western X is best detected prior to harvest. Fruit will be small and lacking in color and flavor. You may be eligible for the tree removal cost share grant in collaboration with WSU extension.
