Audio Recordings Request

This fillable form below must be used to request audio recordings of specific court sessions. Please complete the fillable form below after reading these instructions completely. To decrease delays in retrieving specific recordings, please provide as much information as possible. If no exact times are known, estimations would be appreciated. These recordings will be placed in the Cloud for you to download.  Please note that in accordance with State Law there is a $25 charge for each hearing (payable at the time of request) through the nCourt website or you can call nCourts at 844-293-3735. Please include your case number when making the payment.  Allow a minimum of 2 weeks after the request for your recording to be placed in the Cloud for you to download. If you need the recording sooner, you will need to pay an additional $30 expedite records service fee.  Liability for misuse of information received is the sole responsibility of the requestor.   Once payment has been made, please email us at FTRrequests@franklincountywa.gov with the confirmation number.  Otherwise, your audio recording will be processed upon receipt of your cashier's check/money order or law firm check. 

Digital audio recordings are made from the original master recordings of a Court’s proceedings and are available for verification of testimony only. They are not certified for Court use and may not be used as the official Court record in place of an official transcript. The Clerk's Office does not provide transcription services.

After you have received your audio recording, please download, at no cost, the FTR Desktop App from the following link:   https://fortherecord.com/our-solutions/ftr-desktop-app/. This program is required for you to play the audio recording.
