Franklin County has a state-of-the-art security system for the courthouse facility. The campus areas have fencing and an electronic sensory system from outside the compound, employee access cards, public entry through a metal detector, X-ray for any carried items, and camera viewing of all public areas to ensure a safe and secure campus. The Corrections Division oversees the campus security.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is located inside the Franklin County Courthouse Facility. The general public present themselves to a security window and are greeted by FCSO support specialists who are physically separated from the public.

Beginning in January of 2024, the sheriff's office now supplies a full-time civil/court process deputy, who provides assistance and security to courthouse visitors and staff during working courthouse hours. Deputy Travis Rogers is the sheriff's office's civil and court process deputy.
